Isaiah 55:8-9

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."

it's time to trust.
Yep, especially for those students who're Form 4 this year,
another change has again occurred to our so-important-exam-next-year .
i think there're a lot of us which are kinda pissed or shocked about this news
Yeah, but we shouldn't be pointing fingers.

Just as the bible verse above,
God's ways are ALWAYS higher than ours.
OURS as in every human being in this world.
so no matter what happens, or what had happened,
it is not up to us to judge what's wrong or right for our future.
because God almighty, has everything settled down in His hands.
all we have to do now, is trust.

we'd never know what would happen to us in the future,
'cause there're too many possibilities. we can never predict.

which road we may take, and to where the road we choose will take us..
even though, it might seem like it's clouded and blur to our eyes right now,
it's all clear in God's eyes.

so just TRUST, don't ever doubt.
because only He knows what's best for us. :)

Heart-wrenching...

Tears-falling...

Here you start !

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?'

The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.'

Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?'

The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university..'

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. 'Would you like a lock of his hair?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.

The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on, 'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.'

Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room.

She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said :

Dear Mom,

I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You' . I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.

Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool I love to watch them fly.

And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important.. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you.

God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'where was He when I needed  him?' '

God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love
from God, Jesus & Me.

Do it for God's sake.

When trouble comes, be strong,
sometimes you think nobody cares,
nobody understand,
nobody listens,
nobody supports sincerely,

you are totally WRONG if you think so.

sometimes you just never realise because you never accepted Him,
He's just so near to us.
He's watching us and everything in light or in darkness.

But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.
(Deuteronomy 4:29)

Trust in the Lord our Saviour entirely,
do not worry for He has His purposes in everything that happens to you,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)

and God says:
Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30)

Take all the difficulties poped up as trials
You need to overcome them with the strength God gives to you (if you ask for it)
and that's called GROWTH
rejoice when trouble comes instead of mourning because you'll grow.

When all kinds of trials and temptations crowd into your lives, don't resent them as intruders, but welcome them as friends! Realize that they come to test your faith and to produce in you the quality of endurance.
(James 1:2-4)

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.
But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
(John 16:33)

Sometimes,
you might not even know,
God's just here,
He's so near,
willing to listen to what's in your heart,
understanding your life for it's what He plans,
it's in His hands,
trust in him,
nothing defeats Him for He's the creator of the world.

Nothing can go beyond the power of Him.

you talk, He listens,
you fall, He picks you up,
you asks, He shows you the way.

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62:8

Amen.

Please pray for the people of Ethiopia. Ethiopia is one of the oldest civilizations on earth and is in the center of Africa. Please pray for God’s blessing on the country, that everyone who truly seeks God will find Him, and that the country will experience prosperity after many years of hardship in the last decades.

Why should you go to church, if there is one near you, or gather with other Christians? Here are 7 reasons for you to consider.
  1. God wants you to connect with other Christians.
  2. You can learn from godly teaching and become a stronger Christian.
  3. You can worship God and bring Him honor and glory as you worship Him in the congregation.
  4. You can learn how to study the Bible from others
  5. You can get to know other Christians who can affirm you and help you.
  6. You can give to God, both financially and in serving others within the church.
  7. Your family can grow as Christians.

  8. Will your church be perfect?
    Of course not;
because the church is made up of people, and all of us are not perfect.
    However, we are forgiven in Jesus Christ;
    we can be filled with God’s Holy Spirit;
and, even though we are not perfect,
the Bible says we as the church will be the bride of Christ.
Since Jesus Christ loves us in spite of our imperfections,
let us all love God and love others as we seek to serve Christ together.

Let us pray that
  • God will spread His peace and joy and love through you in Jesus Christ to the world around you

  • God will help you to be a blessing to Him and to others at church and everywhere

  • God will protect our staff at Global Media Outreach and fill us with His Holy Spirit
  •
THANK YOU for your prayers.
Someday we can meet in heaven and rejoice in all that Jesus Christ has done in your life and in ours. In the meantime let us pray together that God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven.

May God bless you,

"As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you"
(Joshua 1:5b).

A black hole is a place of total nothingness.
It's a time in our life when God removes the resources and supports that we normally rely on to feel secure - our careers, finances, friends, family, health and so forth
It is a preparation time

When you find yourself in a black hole experience, don't just sit and brood.
Take stock of your life. Take a look at your relationship with God.

First, ask God if there are any sins, habits, or attitudes that
He might be judging in your life.
It's important to discern whether the trial we face is the result of God's discipline for our sin?
or if it is preparing us for a future leadership role.

Second, when you enter a black hole, don't trust your feelings.
Trust God
Your feelings might tell you, "God has rejected you. Abandon hope. He has left you utterly alone."
Feelings change; God never changes.
Feelings come and go; God is always with us.

Third, remember that your black hole experience is not only intended to refine and define you;
it's also intended to influence and change the lives of hundreds or even thousands of other people.
Our adversity is not just for us, but others in our sphere of influence.

Forth, don't try to hurry the black hole process along.
Remember, when Joseph (bible character) was in the depths of the pit, there was nothing he could do about it.
He couldn't climb out, jump out, levitate out, or talk his way out.
All he could do was pray and wait upon the Lord.

Fifth, lean on God.
Even when you don't feel like praying, pray.
Even when you don't feel like reading His Word, read.
Even when you don't feel like singing songs of faith, sing.
When you pray, don't just talk; listen.
Be silent before Him and listen for His still, quiet voice.

Sixth, be alert to new truths and new perspectives.
During a black hole experience, God often leads us to amazing new discoveries.
A black hole can be a storehouse of unexpected riches for the soul.

Let's end this with a little of prayer to our Heavenly Father:

Dear Father, I know that You're near to me all the time. Do bring me closer to You and let me listen to Your voice quietly in my heart. Fill my soul with Holy Spirit, strength and faith. Please support me in everything I do and encounter.
In Jesus's name, AMEN.

Finally, God bless you !

Hey all.
Sorry for the lack of updating these days.
We have personal reasons but we'll surely update once inawhile. :)
As bloggers of this blog,
we sincerely apologize if you had been waiting for updates but didn't get any.
Will return soon! =)

Just wanna say here, that,
be appreciative of the things God gave us today
even if it's the tiniest thing in life
it's His precious gift to us, all.
:)

However God created you,
He didn't make a mistake.

Adding gifts and talents,
Passion is His to create.

Out of our weakness,
His strength is ours to take...

Multiplying His precious seed,
All for the Kingdom's sake.

Praise the LORD.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
Psalm 106:1
GISY

Humble is the opposite of proud.
Pride is the attitude of a self-sufficient person.
However, we often fail to apply the concept of being humble in our own life.

Self-exaltation. You know what that is, don’t you?
It is pride. It is thinking that you are above others.
Such self-exaltation, such pride, such considering oneself as high and mighty is a dangerous thing.

God not only allows us to suffer, he also allows us to fail and fall. Why?
In order to humble us, so that we do not go the way of Satan, whose pride led to his eternal judgment - hell.
He allows us to experience shame and personal failure, so that we grow in our appreciation of God’s grace through Christ; so that we learn to glorify Jesus even more.
And God sometimes allows us to fall and fail so that he can exalt us later, and do even more with us than before.

Pride goes before a fall, but humility comes before honor.
-Proverbs 18:12

Prideful eyes are one of seven abominations that God hates (Proverbs 6)
God calls pride an abomination because it so easily separates us from him for eternity.
It is a dangerous evil.
Both James 4:6 and 1 Peter 5:5 quote Proverbs 29:3-4, which says,
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the to humble."
But what is the pride that God condemns?
Pride is thinking you are more important than others, better than others,
or above others because of your name, your accomplishments, your gifts, your looks, your knowledge, or your wealth.

There are many symptoms of a prideful heart.
One is the way a prideful person reacts to criticism.
The prideful person becomes deeply offended by criticism,
and takes a “who are you to criticize me” attitude.

You know you are prideful when you become offended when people don’t give you the attention, respect, or honor you think you deserve.
Don’t they know who I am” is a prideful heart speaking.

But a word of warning. Remember pride is an attitude of the heart.
You can’t judge whether someone is prideful by the expression on their face or even their manner.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged;
and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned;
pardon, and you will be pardoned.
-Luke 6:37

But you say, “What is so harmful about a little bragging.” But the heart of pride is not bragging. Pride leads to two great evils.
One is self-righteousness. The other is idolatry.

We humble ourselves when we think little of our own gifts and highly of others.
When we rejoice, rather than pout, when someone else is exalted and we are not.
When it is not about me and my reputation but Christ and his.

Whatever you are that is good is also by the grace of God -- not by your virtue. You did not create yourself.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves;
but our sufficiency is of God;
 - 2 Co:5

A humble person will recognize that he knows little but can learn much more.
-but not by turning his thoughts into inferiority nor having low self-esteem.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin and heal their land
- 2 CHRONICLES 7:14

A humble person will pray a lot and follow God's instructions, instead of leaning to their own understanding.
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all,
able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition,
if God perhaps will grant them repentance,
so that they may know the truth.
-2 TIMOTHY 2:24-2

It is because of love, not hatred, that God humbles us.
It is pleasing God that we do not fall into pride,
so that we learn to always depend on his grace,
and so that we might be even more useful to him.

I asked God to take away my pain
God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No. Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness
God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain
God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow
God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life
God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said...  Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

In our prayers,
we often ask for all the wrong things.

We ask for plesures in life, our own desire, things that we thought is important.
What we don't know,
is that God already knows what we need,
but we are not gonna get it if we don't learn to grow.

He prepared,
He promised to take care of us.
And He's gonna do it.

"When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures

One day, a man went to visit a church.
He arrived early, parked his car, and got out.

Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, "I always park there. You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat, and sat down.
A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!"

The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down.
Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit. You took my place!"

The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still said nothing.

Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood, and his appearance began to change.

Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet.

Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?"

The visitor replied, "I took your place."

We, as christians, are always taught to learn the way of Christ.
To live a life that will glorify His name.

From all the preaching, all the sermons, all from what we've learnt,
do we actually practice them in our lives?
does what we do actually pleases God?

We are taught to share, but yet, sometimes we act selfish.
We are taught to care for others, but yet, we are too busy with our own things.
We are taught so much about how to be & what to do.
But yet, when we really needed to apply what we've learn in our lives,
we forget completely of what Jesus said.

We always think about ourselves more than for others,
that's who we are.
It's always difficult for us to give, but we always want to receive.

Jesus died for us, on the cross.
He took our place & became the ultimate sacrifice.
He didn't ask for anything in return when He was crucifed.
He did it all because of love.
It was His unconditional & endless love for us, sinners.

He died for us unconditionally,
So let's live for Him unconditionally.

Isaiah 53:5,6

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes
we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every
one to His own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us
all.

Sometimes life gets pretty stressful. Many people feel stressed around big moments in their lives like final exams, prom, applying to college, or the first day of school. Stress can be a pretty dangerous thing, because it clouds our judgment and can cause physical problems like illness. It can also get in the way of our spiritual lives by fostering anger or resentment toward God.
Whether you are about to take final exams, midterms, knowing those tests are looming in the future can be pretty stressful. Don't let the stress get to you. Here are some surefire ways to make sure you are ready physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually to take those exams.

1. Pray - You talk, He listens and does His jobs.

Before any study session spend a few moments praying. Sometimes people think that God is only in the most spiritual parts of their lives, but God is in every aspect of your life. He wants you to succeed. Praying can bring you closer to God and make you feel stronger and relaxed going into test time.

2. Lose the Excuses

It can be easy to put off studying until the last minute. The things going on around you can be tempting ways to procrastinate. Some teens also find excuses to fail, because they just give up learning. Exams are overwhelming. They do test your limits, but you can learn. You need to keep your pace reasonable and learn what you can. Do remember that faith to God wins everything.

3. Laugh

Laughter is really one of the best medicines. When things get stressful do the things that make you laugh. Watch a funny movie. Read a funny book. Laugh with friends and family. Take some time out to laugh at life!

4. Sleep

Sleep is another great tool in reducing stress. It is essential to allowing our bodies to recover from daily stress. You should be getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Pulling an "all-nighters" may seem like a way to get things done, but eventually that lack of sleep takes its toll by making you sick or cranky.

5. Keep Your Eyes Focused on God

Prayer is a big part of reducing stress, but so is keeping your focus on God. Using your devotional can be another way for you to let go of some of the things putting pressure on you. You can lose yourself for a while in the Word. It will help improve your attitude and allow you to relax away from parents, studies, and more.

8. Learn to Say "No"

When most people think of the slogan "Just Say No" they think of drugs and alcohol. However, this should be the mantra for a stressed-out student. Some stress comes from doing everything you're asked to do. There are some times when it is okay to say "no" to the requests of friends, families, teachers, and more. If it is going to add too significantly to your stress level, say so.
"Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."
Matthew 11:28-30
At last, let's pray together:
Dear Father,
I need you now because I might be full of stress and anxiety. Reading your Word brings comfort, as I ask you to come and take my heavy burdens. I take each burden, one by one, and lay them at your feet. Please carry them for me so that I don't have to. Replace them with your love, care, humble and gentle yoke so that I will find rest for my soul today. I receive your gift of peace of mind and heart. Thank you that I can lie down tonight in peace and sleep. I know that you, Lord, will keep me safe. I am not afraid because you are always with me. I know that you've plans for what's ahead of me and you'll be with me wherever I go and whatever I go through. Please keep me daily, Lord, in your perfect peace.
Amen

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

What a comfort to know that our Father had our needs in mind long before we knew what they were. The Bible shows us, time and time again, how God comforts his people. In times of need we need only to turn to him for our greatest comfort, the comfort of the living God.

Thanks for reading.
May God bless you with peace, love and joy.
You've got Him so you need not be afraid or down.

He'll wipe your tears 'cos He's your best Counselor.
So seek Him while you have the chance.

God bless you. Amen. =)
